On July 6, 2022, the Seminar on the Construction of Local Legislation Research Bases in Jiangsu Province, jointly sponsored by the Social Sciences Office of Southeast University, the Law School of Southeast University and the Jiangsu Provincial Local Legislation Research Base of Southeast University, was successfully held at the Jiulonghu Campus of Southeast University. The opening ceremony of the meeting was presided over by Mao Huixi, secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School of Southeast University. Secretary Mao Huixi introduced the agenda of the meeting and made a solemn introduction and warm welcome to all the leaders, guests, experts and scholars attending the meeting. Subsequently, Professor Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the Law School of Southeast University, Professor Wang Lusheng, Deputy Director of the Social Sciences Department of Southeast University (presiding over the work), and Professor Xing Hongfei, Assistant To the President of Hohai University, delivered speeches respectively.

Professor Ouyang Benqi, Dean of southeast university law school, welcomed the leading guests and experts and scholars attending the meeting online and offline on behalf of southeast university law school, introduced the remarkable achievements of southeast university law school in recent years in scientific research project undertaking and scientific research platform construction, and wished the seminar a successful hold.

Professor Wang Lusheng, Deputy Director of the Social Sciences Department of Southeast University (presiding over the work), congratulated the Law School on its approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Local Legislation Research Base on behalf of the school. Director Wang said that in recent years, Southeast University has continuously promoted the high-quality liberal arts climbing plan, in which the law school has set up projects in the National Social Science Fund, and various scientific research indicators such as the construction of research platforms at or above the provincial and ministerial levels have ranked in the forefront of the humanities and social sciences departments of the university, and the acquisition of these scientific research achievements is inseparable from the advantages of disciplines represented by constitutional law and administrative law. In the next step, it is expected that the local legislation research base of Southeast University and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress will actively cooperate, strengthen the alliance, adhere to the requirements of high starting point, high standards and high quality, and strive to build the base into a high-quality local legislation research think tank with important influence and exemplary significance in the country.

Professor Xing Hongfei, assistant to the president of Hohai University, spoke on behalf of the sister universities: First, congratulations on the approval of the provincial legislative research base of Southeast University; The second is to express the vision of the law discipline of Hohai University and the law discipline of Southeast University to continue to accelerate development and make common progress with the law department of Dongda University; Third, it shows that the sister institutions represented by Hohai University are willing to provide help and support for the construction and development of the Jiangsu Legislative Research Base of Southeast University.

After the speeches of the leaders and guests, the meeting entered the appointment ceremony. Mao Huixi, secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School of Southeast University, read out the list of personnel in the management and expert team of the local legislation research base in Jiangsu Province, and hired some experts and scholars inside and outside the university as the first batch of senior researchers of the base. Professor Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the Law School of Southeast University, issued a letter of appointment to Zhou Lianyong, the representative of the hired experts and the director of Jiangsu Boshida Law Firm.

After the appointment ceremony, Professor Meng Hongzhi, Distinguished Professor of Southeast University and director of the Local Legislation Research Base, thanked the school and colleagues and friends of the society for their strong support, and introduced the preliminary construction of the legislative research base, the current work carried out and the main tasks in the next stage. Finally, the participating leaders, guests, experts and scholars discussed the tasks of the base, especially the evaluation of local legislation in 2022, and how to expand cooperation between universities and theoretical and practical departments.

After the discussion stage, online and offline leaders, guests and experts and scholars took a group photo together, and the seminar on the construction of the legislative research base was a complete success.
