In accordance with the unified deployment of the school and the actual work of the law school, on August 31, 2022, the law school held a general meeting of all the faculty (members) of the law school in the moot court, and elected the representatives of our college to participate in the 16th Workers' Congress and the 9th Teaching Congress of Southeast University. The grand holding of this congress on the eve of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a major event in the political life of the majority of faculty and staff and trade union members of the Law School, and an important practical activity for exercising democratic rights and participating in the democratic management of the school. There were two agendas for the conference, one was to elect the representatives of the Law School to attend the 16th Congress of Trade Union Members of Southeast University, and the other was to elect the representatives of the Law School to attend the 9th Faculty and Staff Congress of Southeast University.

The conference should have 70 faculty members and 53 faculty members. There should be 62 trade union members, and 48 trade union members. The first stage of the conference was presided over by Comrade Liu Qichuan, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Law School, and the second stage was presided over by Comrade Yi Bo of the Law School.

At the beginning of the conference, all stood up and sang the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China.

In the first stage of the meeting, Comrade Mao Huixi, secretary of the party committee of the law school, took the stage to mobilize the election work of the congress. Secretary Mao stressed that it is necessary to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continuously enhance the cohesion of the college, protect the rights and interests of faculty and staff, and mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of work. At the same time, trade union work is an organic part of the work of the college and plays a vital role in promoting the construction of a world-class university.

Next, Comrade Liu Qichuan introduced the basic situation of the candidates in the order of surname strokes, and read out the election methods for the law school of the 16th trade union member congress of Southeast University and the election method for the law school of the 9th faculty and staff congress of Southeast University. All participants unanimously passed.
Subsequently, the meeting proposed that Comrade Yi Bo be the director voter, Comrades Yang Jie and Qian Xiaoping be the supervisors, and Comrades Wen Hao, Yu Tao, Ma Yanghua, Wang Weiwei, and Xing Chenxi be the tellers, and all the participants unanimously adopted it.

In the second stage of the meeting, under the presidency of Comrade Yi Bo, the superintendent, the scrutineer inspected the ballot box, and the staff distributed the ballot papers and cut the extra ballot papers on the spot. All union members and faculty members at the scene lined up in an orderly manner to cast their sacred votes. Subsequently, the scrutineers and tellers opened the ballot box in public, counted the votes, and completed the vote counting, and Comrade Yi Bo announced the results of the election count.

Finally, Comrade Liu Qichuan announced that according to the election method of the congress and the results of the vote count, after two rounds of secret ballots and differential election of all the trade union members and faculty members attending the meeting, Comrade Liu Jianli was finally elected as the representative of the Law School to attend the 16th trade union member congress of Southeast University; Ouyang Benqi, Gong Xianghe, Liu Jianli and Ren Danli were the representatives of the Law School attending the Ninth Faculty and Staff Congress of Southeast University.
At this point, the law school faculty (member) conference was successfully concluded.
