On September 7, 2022, the School of Law held a work conference on the opening of the fall semester in Moot Court. The meeting was attended by the College's leadership team and all faculty and staff. The meeting was presided over by Mao Huixi, secretary of the party committee of the law school, and Ouyang Benqi, dean of the law school, Liu Qichuan, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of the law school, Shan Pingji, vice president of the law school, and Xiong Zhanglin, vice president of the law school, made work reports respectively.

Mao Huixi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, delivered an opening speech and warmly welcomed the teachers of the sister schools who came to study.

Subsequently, Deputy Secretary Liu Qichuan reviewed and looked forward to the work of the students of the Law School in 2022. He stressed that in the first half of 2022, the student work has achieved a series of gentle and educational educational achievements, the scientific research projects of student work are booming, the ten-in-one student organization system has developed steadily, and the quality and skills of the ideological and political team have achieved landmark results, all of which are inseparable from the effective service construction of the law school. For the work arrangements for the second half of 2022, Deputy Secretary Liu Qichuan also put forward a small goal for each month in order to achieve the year's dream of governing the court according to law.

Associate Dean Shan Pingji made specific arrangements for the teaching work of the fall semester of 2022. He said that in the context of the epidemic, teachers need to pay more attention to coordinating online and offline teaching, and help students who have not returned to school to participate in the classroom smoothly; While teaching courses in the legal profession, we should also pay attention to the ideological and political construction of the curriculum; In the process of teaching, it is particularly necessary to pay attention to the teaching of the basic contents of legal science.

Vice President Xiong Zhanglin explained the 2022 graduate student enrollment policy in combination with specific documents, and interpreted the graduate student enrollment policy under the new situation from three aspects: the identification requirements of graduate doctoral supervisors, the identification of enrollment qualifications and their changes, and the allocation of enrollment indicators.

Finally, Dean Ouyang Benqi put forward the goal of inheriting the past and forging ahead in the future in the overall construction of the college. Dean Ouyang Benqi summarized the scientific research achievements of the college in the first half of the year in combination with specific data, showed the construction indicators of the dynamic monitoring of the discipline of the law school, and put forward the goals of the scientific research construction of the college in the second half of the year.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary Mao Huixi interpreted the spirit of the report of the 15th Party Congress of Southeast University.

He pointed out that under the situation of winning the decisive battle and opening up a new situation, the law school has achieved leapfrog development and historic breakthroughs, but we are still facing problems such as the lack of sound personnel training system and cadre governance.
