On the morning of November 17, 2022, Director Yin Guodong of Academic Affairs Office led teachers Yang Ankang, Jiang Chunlu, Deng Lei, Lu Yiyu, Tang Yitao and Ren Yali from Academic Affairs Office and Faculty Teaching Development Center to visit our college for mid-term teaching inspection and to communicate and exchange views on teaching and learning in the College of Law. Dean Ouyang Benqi, Secretary Mao Huixi, Vice Dean Shan Pingji, Vice Secretary Liu Qichuan, Undergraduate Counselor Ms. Fei Qianqian and Teaching Assistant Ms. Wang Weiwei attended the meeting.

At the seminar, President Ouyang Benqi expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Academic Affairs Office and the Faculty Development Center for their great support to our college, and introduced the general situation of the college.

Secretary Mao Huixi introduced some of our special talent cultivation activities, such as promoting the construction and development of cross-disciplines and holding dean's luncheons. At the same time, Secretary Mao Huisi pointed out that cultivating leading talents should focus on cultivating students' political enthusiasm, political acumen and improving students' political standings.

Vice President Shan Pingji made a presentation on the basic situation of the law school, undergraduate teaching and talent cultivation in recent years, especially the effectiveness of professional construction and talent cultivation, and reported on the teaching problems reflected by the students in the teaching inspection this semester.

Deputy Secretary Liu Qichuan added a report on student work, highlighting the college's difficult student support mechanism and emphasizing the college's training of students' comprehensive quality.

Around the above issues the participating teachers had a lively discussion. On behalf of the Academic Affairs Office, Director Yin Guodong fully affirmed the achievements of the teaching work of the Law School, and gave careful answers and responses to the opinions and suggestions put forward by the Law School on the expansion of enrollment, cultivation of international vision and improvement of party consciousness, etc. He also put forward new requirements for the future teaching work of the Law School from the perspective of cultivation of teaching materials. The exchange meeting lasted for two hours and ended successfully.

Through this exchange meeting, the Academic Affairs Office and the Faculty Teaching Development Center gained a deeper understanding of the undergraduate teaching situation in the School of Law, which also showed that the School of Law insists on the spirit of moral education for people and students as the first priority throughout the whole process of legal education and teaching. The Law School strives to cultivate leading socialist legal talents who are capable of taking up the responsibility of national rejuvenation through comprehensive development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic development. The School of Law will actively deploy relevant activities according to the suggestions made in this exchange meeting, so as to better implement the further improvement of teaching ability and the overall development of students.
