On November 20, 2022, the 2022 Annual Conference of the Jiangsu Law Society of Maritime Law was held in Nanjing, hosted by the Jiangsu Law Society of Maritime Law. Professor Xiao Bing, Associate Professor Lu Lu, Associate Professor Yi Bo, Associate Professor Yu Wenjie, Associate Professor Ye Quan and Postdoctoral Fellow Dong Luyu were invited to attend the conference.

As a panelist, Associate Professor Lu Lu shared his professional opinion and experience on optimizing the business environment of maritime economy and international maritime dispute resolution in the first topic Building a first-class rule of law business environment.

As a panelist, Prof. Xiao Bing of our institute, in the second topic Promoting maritime judicial reform, had an in-depth exchange and discussion with the lecturer on the impact of the promulgation and implementation of the EU foreign subsidies law on China, the legal interpretation of the law related to the renewal of sea use rights and the improvement of China's voice and influence in international maritime rule-making. In this conference, our faculty members and representatives from political and legal organs, research institutes and industry associations from all walks of life in the province conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions on creating a first-class business environment under the rule of law and promoting the construction of a strong maritime nation, which further enhanced the visibility and influence of Southeast University Law School.
