The Sixth International Young Scholars Forum of Southeast University Law School Sub-forum was successfully held

On December 26, 2022 at 9:30 am, the 6th International Young Scholars Forum - Law School Sub-Forum of Southeast University was held on time online. Secretary Mao Huixi, Dean Ouyang Benqi, 14 faculty representatives and 12 young talents from all over the world gathered in the clouds at Southeast University College of Law.

Ms. Yu extended a sincere welcome to all the guests and introduced the participants.

First of all, Dean Ouyang Benqi delivered a speech with the theme of There is a wutong in Jinling, the phoenix flies in the southeast. He explained the teaching and research pattern of the School of Law, which is to apply the norms of the past and present, to learn the teachings of the West and the East, to open up a new law discipline with cross-fertilization, and to create a new pattern of talent cultivation. He also sincerely welcomed young talents from home and abroad to join Southeast University Law School.

Then, in the keynote speech stage, 12 young scholars from Göttingen University, Graz University, Kyoto University, King's College London, Glasgow University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and other universities made wonderful keynote reports about their research experiences, research directions and future plans. They expressed their aspirations for Southeast University Law School.

Next, Associate Professor Feng Yuqing and Associate Professor Zhang Yue spoke as representatives of the College of Law. Associate Professor Feng Yuqing expressed his recognition and praise for the achievements of the young scholars, and expressed his expectation for the outstanding young scholars to join Southeast University College of Law from the current development of the college and the treatment of the young scholars in various aspects. Associate Professor Zhang Yue encouraged the young scholars to join SEU Law School and said that the experiences shared by the scholars resonated deeply with her, because Ms. Zhang Yue also participated in the SEU Law School Young Scholars Forum four years ago and finally joined SEU Law School as she wished.

In the free exchange session, Professor Cao Weiwei, who graduated from Keele University in the UK, also expressed her appreciation for the academic achievements and career planning of the young scholars, and hoped to have offline exchanges with the teachers of Southeast University Law School next year when spring blossoms.

Finally, Mao Huixi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University College of Law, summarized the meeting. Secretary Mao said that the young scholars have a dazzling curriculum vitae, clear plans, and research directions that keep pace with the times. In the context of the socialist rule of law system with Chinese characteristics and the comprehensive construction of rule of law China, such young talents with perseverance, sentiment, and ambition are exactly the talents that Southeast University Law School is looking forward to.

This International Young Scholars Forum is a good platform for communication between Southeast University College of Law and young talents, and it has injected a solid force of talent resources for the vigorous development of Southeast University College of Law's talent education.
