On the afternoon of May 16th, 2024, Chen Hongbing, professor and doctoral supervisor of law school of southeastern university, was invited by the prosecutor's office and court of wujiang district, suzhou city to carry out the “criminal law subsection interpretation method” special lecture. The lecture was jointly organized by Suzhou Wujiang District Lawyers Association (Wujiang District Lawyers Association Criminal Committee) and Wujiang District Public Prosecutor's Office and the three departments of the law, Vice President Jin Jiangqiang hosted the lecture and delivered a speech.

In the lecture, Prof. Chen Hongbing combined his many years of research in crime theory with his rich practical experience in criminal defense, and proposed that the crime and punishment of a case should be comprehensively judged around the purposefulness, equilibrium, coordination, systematicity and practicability of the criminal law. He also fully elaborated on the concepts of compatibility of crime and punishment and the act of practicing.

Prof. Chen Hongbing set up a large number of vivid cases as an entry point to explain the difficulties in understanding and applying the common key crimes in the Criminal Law, such as the definition of crime and non-crime, the analysis of this crime and that crime, the identification of one crime and several crimes, and the analysis of specific criminal behavior and other important and difficult issues in practice.

Professor Chen Hongbing's unique views and insights on the theory of criminal law sub-rule as well as his humorous and passionate teaching style greatly infected the audience. Although the time of the lecture was limited, everyone's enthusiasm for knowledge remained unabated, and the professional atmosphere of the scene was strong, and the attendees expressed that they had gained a lot. The lecture was a complete success!
