Southeast University School of Law Alumni Development Forum on "Winning the Legacy and Creating the Future" Held Successfully

  On June 1, Remembering the Years of Wenrui, Composing the Flowery Chapter of Law Court, a series of activities of Southeast University School of Law Alumni Homecoming was successfully held, which attracted more than 200 alumni of the School of Law and their family members from all over the country to take part in the activities. On this special day, more than 40 alumni representatives of the School of Law gathered together to participate in the Alumni Development Forum of Wenrui Inheritance and Creating the Future. The forum was attended by Jiang Wei, Deputy Director of Southeast University Development Committee and Secretary General of Southeast University Alumni Association, Li Bo, Deputy Secretary General of Southeast University Alumni Association, Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Law, Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the School of Law, Xiong Zhanlin, Vice Dean of the School of Law, Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School of Law, Gao Ge, Director of the School of Law Alumni Committee, and representatives of the faculties of the School of Law, Liu Jianli and Lu Lu. Mr Liu Jianli and Mr Lu Lu. The forum also invited the teachers of the Law School to participate in it, namely Mr Shi Jianhui and Mr Ye Shuli.

At 3:00 p.m., the Alumni Development Forum was officially opened in the Mock Court on the fourth floor of the Law School, which was presided over by Chen Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the Law School. In his opening speech, Dean of the Law School Ouyang Benqi extended a warm welcome to the alumni and their families who had travelled a long way to attend the forum, and reviewed the development achievements of the School in recent years and its future plans. He stressed that the care, support and outstanding contributions of the alumni are the strong guarantee for the past honours and achievements of the Law School, and have pushed Southeast Law to become a rising star among many law schools. Southeastern Law will work together with all the alumni to seek common development and make progress hand in hand, and strive to create a brand-new performance worthy of history and the people in the new journey of the new era!

Jiang Wei, Deputy Director of the Development Committee of Southeast University and Secretary General of Southeast University Alumni Association, emphasised in his speech that the Alumni Association will continue to innovate the forms and enrich the contents of the activities in order to enhance the emotional ties between alumni, form a close alumni network, and provide all kinds of resources and assistance for the development of alumni. Deputy Director Jiang Wei highly affirmed the alumni work of the School of Law and said that the Alumni Association will also actively promote the alumni's support to their alma mater and mother college to provide a strong impetus and a solid foundation for the school's vigorous development.

Afterwards, the forum entered the theme exchange session. A number of outstanding alumni representatives from administrative organs, institutions, enterprises and law firms were invited to share their professional experiences, entrepreneurial stories and life insights on stage. These wonderful speeches not only inspired the teachers and students in the audience, but also enhanced the alumni's sense of belonging and pride in the college.

Bian Pengxuan, a 1995 alumnus, is now the president of Nanjing Alumni Association Law Branch and works for Jiangsu Dongda Jinshan Capital Management Co. She expressed that her heart was full of joy on the occasion of her return to school, and thanked her alma mater for her education and training from the bottom of her heart! She hoped that the Law School would be prosperous and flourish!

Li Bo, a 2005 alumnus, is now the Deputy Secretary General of Southeast University Alumni Association. In his speech, he shared his personal work experience and insights of working in the Alumni Association, and especially pointed out that the Law School was one of the colleges that paid the most attention and serious attention to organising the reception of alumni in the Southeast University Alumni Homecoming, so that the alumni could truly experience the warmth and care of the Law School's big family.

Cao Haibing, a 2008 alumnus, is now the president of the Law Branch of Lianyungang Alumni Association, serving in the Public Security Bureau of Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. He said that he will continue to improve the organisational and management work of the Alumni Association, promote the communication among alumni, and timely release the notification of the activities of the Alumni Association, the recent situation of alumni and the dynamics of alumni enterprises.

Fan Jing, an alumnus of Class 2009, is now working in the Management Committee of Lianyungang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiangsu Province. She shared her work history with the audience and said that any career needs a persistent heart, and one should learn to find the joys in ordinary life.

Wang Huan, an alumnus of the Class of 2011, is now working in the Judicial Bureau of Gaochun District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. He expressed his hope that the Law School will continue to carry forward the tradition of solidarity and love, and help alumni with difficulties more often, so that everyone can feel the warmth of the Law School family. We are looking forward to helping each other and working together.

Chen Lei, an alumnus of the class of 2016, is now working in Beijing Yingke (Changzhou) Law Firm. He emphasised that long-term career development requires us to retain the ability to learn all the time. Success generally cannot be replicated, but failure allows us to learn lessons and accumulate experience.

Li Haolu, alumnus of 2009, is now working in Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Co. In his speech, he shared four key words: cherish, patience, professionalism and goal. He hoped that everyone would cherish the present time, always maintain professional ability and set firm goals!

Bai Minghui, an alumnus of Class 2010, is now working in China Construction 7th Bureau Second Construction Co. She pointed out that corporate legal affairs not only need to have legal expertise, but also expertise that matches the related business. Even after busy work, they need to pursue knowledge unswervingly and improve themselves continuously.

Li Rui, an alumnus of Class 2010, is now working in the People's Procuratorate of Tianning District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. She emphasised that one should pay attention to the shaping of professional ability during the study period, and that the present study is the foundation and guarantee for future work practice.

Ding Dongdong, a 2002 alumnus, is now working in Liaojincun Street, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. She said that profound legal knowledge and rigorous legal thinking can help us to show our ability and find our own path in the challenges of multiple positions.

In the interactive session, the attending alumni actively asked questions and had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the speakers. Alumni expressed that by attending this forum, they not only gained valuable experience and knowledge, but also felt the warmth and care of the College, which added to their pride and honour in the achievements of the College.

Professor Ye Shuli said that he was pleased and joyful for the achievements of the outstanding alumni here. The glory and achievements of all of you are the glorious symbol of the educational career of the teachers of the Law School, as well as the hope and pride of the Law School. He emphasised that the Law School should establish links and exchanges between the alumni and the Law School in multiple channels and ways, listen to the sincere suggestions of the alumni, and respond to the enthusiastic concerns of the alumni.

Finally, Secretary Liu Qichuan made a concluding speech. First of all, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the distinguished alumni for their presence, and pointed out that the purpose of this homecoming activity is to express gratitude for inheritance and create win-win situation together. The School of Law has always been not forgetting the beginning, Wenrui peer, wholeheartedly, fully committed, fully focused, fully committed to the alumni homecoming activities, with enthusiasm and expectations, with the most solemn ceremony to welcome you. Alumni are the builders of the college, witnesses to the growth of the college, and participants in the development of the college, it is with the care and support of the alumni that the College of Law has achieved significant development and sustained progress. It is hoped that all alumni will strengthen the contact and communication with each other through this development forum, enhance the emotional bond, fully communicate and interact in the work, strengthen the sharing of resources, and help the cause of Southeast Law to develop in a higher quality!

On the Homecoming Day, the School of Law also carefully arranged a number of services, trying its best to let the alumni feel the most sincere welcome and the most intimate care!

In order to facilitate the alumni's access to the campus, the College arranged shuttle buses from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm to meet and greet the alumni to and from any place on the campus without interruption. At the same time, the College set up a special window on the ground floor of the Taobei Cafeteria for alumni of the School of Law to meet the dining needs of alumni and their families through the issuance of meal coupons.

The site of the forum activity was decorated with lights and colours, and photos of alumni of various sessions during their study period and warm photos with teachers were posted, allowing alumni to relive their youthful days and make new memories within the college. During the forum, families of alumni and the second generation of Dongdao took a break in the meeting rooms on the fourth and fifth floors of the college to exchange their feelings. In addition, the School prepared a cold buffet for alumni and their families to enjoy tea breaks during the forum.

In the morning, volunteers from the School of Law also gave the alumni a tour of the campus. They strolled on the familiar boulevard, recalling the youthful years, the laughter, the days of common struggle, and the moments of challenge and growth, and one scene after another came to mind. At the same time, walking through the humanities and social sciences research building, to the good Pavilion, Plum Garden, alumni looked at the new buildings, for the alma mater's rapid changes in surprise, have taken pictures to record this unforgettable moment.

The successful holding of the Alumni Development Forum Wenrui Inheritance and Creating the Future not only provided a platform for the alumni to communicate and learn, but also strengthened the ties and feelings between the alumni and the alma mater. The College will continue to work hard to provide alumni with more high-quality services and support, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the College and the alumni!
