At 8:30 a.m. on May 14, the graduation thesis defence meeting of the Master's Degree students of Class 2021 in the direction of digital law at the School of Law of Southeast University was held in Conference Room 510 of the Legal Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the School of Law of the Southeast University, Jiulong Lake Campus. Martin, a professor of the Law School of Nanjing Normal University, served as the chairman of the defence committee, Wu Tianshou, the former director of the Network Security Coordination Division of the Network Information Office of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Prof. Wang Lusheng, Associate Prof. Feng Yuching, and Associate Prof. Xu Minchuan of the School of Law of Southeast University served as the members of the defence committee, and Highland, a research assistant of the Judicial Big Data Base of Southeast University, served as the secretary of the defence committee.

    The defence team made full preparation for this postgraduate defence in strict accordance with the requirements of the Measures for the Whole Process Management of Postgraduate Dissertation Quality of Southeast University School of Law and the Measures for the Work of Postgraduate Dissertation Quality Steering Group of Southeast University School of Law, etc. The current doctoral and master's students in the direction of digital law of Southeast University School of Law observed this defence meeting.

    During the defence, the students made detailed presentations on the thesis topic, research purpose, research content, research methodology, key difficulties and innovations of their respective theses. The members of the defence committee put forward constructive questions based on the content of the thesis and the students' statements, and the students answered them one by one in a serious and detailed manner, and promised to make targeted modifications to the thesis for the purpose of further improving the quality of the thesis.

    Finally, after the closed-door discussion and anonymous voting by the defence committee, the chairman of the defence committee announced the resolution of unanimously agreeing that the master's degree students who participated in the defence had passed the dissertation defence and recommending that the university confer the master's degree. The defence session was successfully completed in a professional, serious but lively atmosphere.
