At the beginning of the activity, our teachers and students visited the Litigation Service Centre, the Execution Command Centre and the courtroom of Jiangsu Higher People's Court under the leadership and explanation of the judges of the Fourth Civil Trial Division. In the subsequent party building exchanges, Yi Bo, the secretary of our Jurisprudence and International Law Teachers' and Staffs' Party Branch, firstly introduced the basic situation of the branch from the aspects of teachers' cultivation, disciplinary development and the construction of talent cultivation bases, and hoped that the two sides would carry out extensive exchanges and co-operation in the field of foreign-related rule of law and other related subjects through the activities of party building pairing and co-construction to share resources and collaborate in the cultivation of human beings. Li Yalin, secretary of the Party branch of the Fourth Civil Court, introduced the development of the branch from the development history of the Fourth Civil Court, trial functions and youth training, etc., and looked forward to the establishment of a long-term and solid party building co-operation relationship between the two sides, hoping to further expand cooperation and exchanges with the Southeast University School of Law in the cooperation and research on the legal practice of foreign-related trial and personnel training, etc., and to improve the quality and efficiency of the work of the trial of foreign-related cases. In the seminar on theoretical and practical issues in the field of foreign-related trials, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the identification of foreign laws and difficult legal issues in foreign-related trials. Judges of the Fourth Civil Trial Division introduced the work of Jiangsu Court in foreign-related trials involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and introduced the difficult legal issues in foreign-related trials by analysing typical foreign-related cases. Teachers and students from the Law School of Southeast University firstly introduced and demonstrated in detail the use of Westlaw, Heinonline and other legal databases, and suggested that the difficulties in identifying foreign laws could be solved by constructing an interactive mechanism between institutions. Subsequently, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges and discussions on difficult legal issues related to foreign trials. Finally, Vice President Sun Zhe of Jiangsu Higher People's Court made a wonderful comment on the party building activities of this institution.
