On July 4, 2024, the Expert Demonstration Meeting for Applying for the Third Phase of Jiangsu University Brand Major Construction Project was held online by the Law School of Southeast University. The expert group was composed of external experts such as Professor Peng Chengxin, Dean of Kaiyuan Law School at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Du Yu, Dean of Law School at Fudan University, Professor Li Shouping, Dean of Law School at Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Jiang Wuzhen, Dean of Law School at South China University of Technology, Professor Meng Hongzhi, leader of the teaching supervision group at Southeast University Law School, and Professor Li Chuan, director of the teaching committee. Dean Ouyang Benqi, Secretary Liu Qichuan, Vice Dean Dan Pingji, and Vice Secretary Chen Yun of the Law School attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dean Ouyang Benqi.

Firstly, Vice Dean Shan Pingji introduced to the experts the background and basic content of the application for the third phase of the Jiangsu University Brand Major Construction Project. Six experts highly praised the foundation of the law school's professional construction, fully affirming the remarkable achievements of the law school in education and teaching reform, teaching team building, and student innovation and entrepreneurship education. They pointed out that the application materials were detailed and fully demonstrated the characteristics of interdisciplinary development, and the construction plan was practical and feasible. They agreed and actively recommended the application for the brand professional construction project. In the selection of support direction, experts suggest using emerging interdisciplinary majors as the application direction, based on the combination of law and engineering, highlighting the cross integration of law and new engineering disciplines, and continuing to refine brand characteristics.

Dean Ouyang Benqi and Secretary Liu Qichuan expressed their gratitude to the experts for their participation and valuable opinions, and promised to further revise and improve the application materials according to the experts' opinions, striving to improve the professional construction level of our institute through brand and professional construction, and comprehensively enhance the talent cultivation ability.
