On the morning of July 2nd, Huang Ruiyu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Political Science and Law, led a delegation of young teachers from the university to visit Southeast University for summer practice research. Xing Jihong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School, Ouyang Benqi, Dean of the Law School, Xiong Zhanglin, Vice Dean of the Law School, Shan Pingji, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the Law School, Chen Yun, and relevant functional department leaders of the university participated in the discussion and exchange.

Xing Jihong warmly welcomed the visit of Huang Ruiyu and his delegation, and introduced the basic situation of the school as well as the achievements made in accelerating the construction of world-class universities with Chinese characteristics in recent years, including discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and faculty team building. He stated that China University of Political Science and Law is the highest institution of legal education in China. Southeast University and China University of Political Science and Law have distinct educational characteristics and broad prospects for cooperation. He hopes that both sides will continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation in the future, strengthen complementary advantages, and achieve win-win development.

Huang Ruiyu highly praised Southeast University as one of the top 100 universities for its achievements in promoting the construction of Double First Class and Four Haves University, as well as its outstanding contributions to serving the country's major strategies. He also expressed gratitude for Southeast University's support to China University of Political Science and Law. He introduced the basic situation of China University of Political Science and Law and looked forward to deeper and more practical exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in talent cultivation, teacher team building, and other aspects, making positive contributions to accelerating the construction of an education powerhouse.

Ouyang Benqi gave a special report on Strengthening Academic Leadership and Promoting the High quality Development of Law Education with Connotation, introducing the construction of the Law School of Southeast University from five perspectives: the college overview, educational reform philosophy, academic supremacy, student first, and teacher foundation. The Law School has accumulated historical heritage, built an academic brand, practiced the educational reform concept of academic supremacy, student centeredness, and teacher centeredness, strengthened organized scientific research with major projects as the target, cultivated leading talents in law based on the new law concept, implemented the No.1 Project of Southeast University, and took multiple measures to attract talents, making outstanding contributions to the construction of Southeast University's Double First Class.

At the symposium, responsible officials from the Talent Work Office, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, Party Committee and Student Affairs Department, and University Trade Union of Southeast University introduced the relevant work and basic situation of the school. Subsequently, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on legal education reform, organized scientific research, and innovative trade union work.
