On the afternoon of July 11, 2024, Professor Wang Lusheng, Associate Professor Xu Minchuan, Associate Professor Yang Jie, Associate Professor Miao Zeyi, Professor Wang Yuan, Professor Bi Sheng, and Postdoctoral Fellow Gong Shanyao from the Digital Law Team of Southeast University Law School went to Alibaba's Tongyi Laboratory for research. Director Sun Changlong, in charge of NLP application algorithms at Alibaba Tongyi Laboratory, received the research team and their delegation.

Under the leadership of Director Sun Changlong, the team first visited the Alibaba Cloud exhibition hall. The exhibition hall showcased Alibaba Cloud's core technologies and their application implementation, revealing how cloud computing and artificial intelligence core key technologies serve as key driving forces for new quality productivity, integrating into various industries and promoting high-quality economic and social development. The industry-leading technology and practical progress have broadened the research ideas of team teachers and students, as well as the construction ideas of humanities laboratories.

After the visit, both sides held a discussion and exchange activity. Professor Wang Lusheng introduced the construction and progress of the digital law team at Southeast University, and discussed with Director Sun Changlong on topics such as the legal model, online simulated court in universities, and talent cultivation. Director Sun Changlong shared the construction ideas, evaluation standards, and application exploration experience of Alibaba's Tongyi Laboratory legal model from general to vertical fields. The attending parties had in-depth discussions on specific issues and application prospects in the development of legal models, as well as the empowerment of legal education through large models.

The content of this research exchange is practical and effective, reflecting the interdisciplinary integration characteristics of theory and practice, law and technology, general problems and specific scenarios, knowledge system and model application. It lays the foundation for the deep cooperation between the digital law team of Southeast University and Alibaba Tongyi Laboratory, and provides support for improving the innovation and discipline construction level of Southeast University's digital law field.
