On the morning of July 11, 2024, Professor Wang Lusheng, Associate Professor Xu Minchuan, Associate Professor Yang Jie, Associate Professor Miao Zeyi, Professor Wang Yuan, Professor Bi Sheng, and postdoctoral fellow Gong Shanyao from the Digital Law Team of the School of Law at Southeast University went to the Digital Rule of Law Laboratory at Zhejiang University to study and draw on the valuable experience of the high-quality development of their brother's efficient digital law discipline. Professor Huo Haihong, Vice Dean of Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University, Professor Xiong Minghui, Director of Zhejiang University Digital Rule of Law Laboratory, Researcher Wei Bin, Executive Director of Digital Rule of Law Laboratory, Professor Wu Yiquan, and others received the research team.
The research team first visited the Digital Rule of Law Laboratory at Zhejiang University and watched a video introducing the laboratory's achievements together. The Digital Rule of Law Laboratory at Zhejiang University focuses on digital research in the fields of legislation, justice, and law enforcement. By creating a digital experimental environment, it empowers legislation, justice, and law enforcement with technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer science and technology, big data analysis, cloud computing, and blockchain. It has accumulated rich work experience in promoting China's digital rule of law construction and innovation in legal education, and cultivating high-level legal talents for the country. During the visit, Teacher Wu Yiquan gave a detailed introduction to the overall architecture, data resources, knowledge enhancement, model evaluation, and other aspects of the Zhihai Luwen legal model.
After the visit, the attending teachers had a discussion and exchange. Vice Dean Huo Haihong first welcomed the arrival of Professor Wang Lusheng and his delegation. Professor Wang Lusheng shared the basic situation and construction achievements of the digital law team at Southeast University, and exchanged views on the existing problems in the construction of humanities laboratories and the cultivation of digital law talents. Vice Dean Huo Haihong introduced the establishment and enrollment of the second level discipline of digital law at Zhejiang University; Professor Xiong Minghui, Wei Bin Research Institute, and Professor Wu Yiquan shared valuable experience on the cultivation of students in the field of digital law, curriculum design, employment guidance, laboratory construction and management of experimental personnel, and development of legal models.
The construction of a digital law laboratory will be the next focus of the digital law team's work. Through this survey, the team learned from the advanced concepts and excellent experience of the construction of the Digital Rule of Law Laboratory at Zhejiang University. The research results will lay a solid foundation for the future construction of the Digital Law Laboratory at Southeast University.
