On July 29th, the Law School of Southeast University held an expanded meeting of the Party Committee Theory Learning Center Group to convey and study the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Deepening Reform and Promoting Chinese path to modernization, and to study and deploy the implementation work of the school. Liu Qichuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, presided over the learning session, and all members of the central group participated in the learning. Liu Qichuan pointed out that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee was a very important meeting held in the critical period of comprehensively promoting the construction of a powerful country and the rejuvenation of the nation with Chinese path to modernization, which has epoch-making significance. The holding of the plenary session fully reflects the strong determination and strong mission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, to further deepen reform and open up a broad prospect of Chinese style modernization. The Decision adopted at the plenary session made an important deployment for building a system and mechanism to support comprehensive innovation. As the national team of national higher education, the School of Law of Southeast University has always adhered to the centralized and unified leadership of the Party on reform, closely focused on promoting Chinese path to modernization, further comprehensively deepened the reform of the system and mechanism of educational, scientific and technological talents, and under the guidance of the University Party Committee, injected strong impetus into building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.

Liu Qichuan emphasized the requirements put forward in the Decision for improving the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics. We should fully leverage our research advantages as a university, promote the integration of party building and business through cooperation and exchanges with the practical community, contribute the wisdom of the southeast to deepen the reform of the legislative field, deepen the promotion of law based administration, improve the judicial system and mechanism for fair law enforcement, improve the mechanism for promoting the construction of a rule of law society, and strengthen the construction of the rule of law in foreign affairs. We should work together to promote the reform of legislation, law enforcement, judiciary, and law compliance, improve the mechanism for ensuring equality before the law for all, promote the spirit of socialist rule of law, safeguard social fairness and justice, and comprehensively promote the rule of law in all aspects of national.
